ANTIRACISM ACTIVATION IS A SUSTAINABLE GRASSROOTS MOVEMENT OF HUMANITY TIED TO PRINCIPLES OF EQUITY & GENERATIONAL LEADERSHIP

“THE FUTURE EMERGES FROM THE PAST…”

SANKOFA LEADERSHIP CONTINUUM

The Sankofa Leadership Continuum Reflects Generational Leadership: Historical, Contemporary, and Emerging.

Central Question: How do we apply generational leadership as a grassroots resistance strategy that serves to disrupt systemic and institutional racism?

The Sankofa Leadership Continuum is defined as a through-line running from historical leaders of the past to contemporary leaders of the present to those who will emerge as future leaders. Melding together historical and contemporary reality, this through-line inspires resistance, activism, art, literature, ethnography, and research to fuel the future for personal transformation, social impact, and antiracism activation.

THE VISION

Antiracism activation is a sustainable grassroots movement of humanity tied to principles of influence, leadership, and equity.

Inflexionpoint Podcast exists for the express purpose of highlighting work done by individuals, entrepreneurs, businesses, organizations, educators, and creatives whose antiracism activation work contributes to empowering historical and racial literacy for the purpose of achieving social, health, and economic equity.

Being Black Globally. Guests from the United States and beyond share their perspective, history, and lived experiences in a racialized world.

Book Talk/Author Talk is a discussion of a particular book followed by an in-depth conversation with the author.

Antiracism Incubator Cohort is an 8-week antiracism incubator program that delivers an experience of (a) critical self-reflection, (b) greater awareness as a member of a racialized society, and (c) transformational strategies for antiracism activation.

THE GOALS

While the need for achieving a sustainable future based on equity, diversity, and inclusion is real, it requires awareness, empowerment, and meaningful action to put it into practice.

Identify individuals, entrepreneurs, businesses, organizations, creatives, and educators dedicated to generational leadership through equity, diversity, and inclusion for the purpose of activating antiracism.

Serve as a resource for those who are seeking to empower their awareness of racism, equity, diversity, inclusion, and social justice through courage, conversation, relationship,  accountability, and impact.

Play Video: The Cairo Question

THE FUTURE

InflexionPoint Podcast began with the Cairo Question: Will Cairo have to protest in his lifetime for the birthright to freely and peacefully exit in the skin in which he was born?

That question arose out of my George Floyd origin story. Cairo is now three years old. The actions of generational leaders today hold the key to the future for children like Cairo. Those are the individuals willing to take a stand today to usher in an era free from the burden, hypocrisy, and division based on racism, inequality, inequity. It calls for individual courage, community conversation, relationship building, personal accountability, and social impact.
