Author Yasmin S Brown: The Point of Abuse


Yasmin S Brown (1977) was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to African-American parents, and grew up in the Pittsburgh area. For 16 years she worked as a healthcare professional. Her first book was The Silent Destruction, part of a series called “Deliverance.” She was awarded the “Unsung Hero” by Christ Temple AME church in 2012.

As a sexual assault and domestic violence survivor Yasmin felt it was important to not only tell her story but format the story in away to teach and create unity through an interactive and encouraging experience. Yasmin also continues to advocate to raise awareness to sexual assault and domestic violence.
